Introducing G2’s Epsilon family, the second generation of ultra low-power Wi-Fi SoCs. All members of the Epsilon family are fully compliant with the IEEE 802.11 standard and offer embedded TCP/IP and networking management with standard APIs. Offering the lowest standby and wait-to-receive power in the industry as well as the fastest boot time, it is a perfect match for power-conscious applications.
The first member of this family is the full-featured G2C547, building on the ground-breaking G2C501 by adding 802.11g, EPC Gen 2, and more memory while further reducing power consumption and the external component count. The G2C547 is the only Wi-Fi solution with an integrated sensor interface and proximity support, making it ideal for industrial applications such as asset tracking and wireless sensing.
The recently introduced G2C543 is a derivative product, eliminating the EPC and magenetic receiver blocks and limiting it to the commercial temperature range. It is more affordable making it the ideal solution for consumer electronics.
These fully contained, low-power Wi-Fi solutions enable:
