G2C501

The G2C501 was the first ultra low-power Wi-Fi and RTLS SoC targeting the asset tracking and wireless sensing market. It has been in production since January 2007 and is shipping in volume in numerous RTLS solutions.

With support for multiple location technologies and a versatile sensor interface, the G2C501 enables small form factor tags with unprecedented battery life, providing customers with the flexibility to tailor a deployment to their application requirements. The high level of integrated functionality on this single chip solution eliminates the need for almost all external circuitry, resulting in tags with small form factors and low total BOM costs.

Benefits of the G2C501:

  • Fully compliant with the IEEE 802.11 standard
  • Ultra low-power design results in years of battery life
  • Leverages existing infrastructure resulting in low total cost of ownership
  • Supports multiple location technologies, maximizing flexibility
  • Integrated sensor interface enables measurement of environmental and security parameters
