In-System Programming Interface


DESCRIPTION

The RN-ISP provides a simple In-System Programming interface for products and devices incorporating Roving Networks' Wi-Fi modules and SoC. The RN-ISP connects to a computer with a USB interface and to the target G2 hardware with a standard 16-pin debug interface. The target hardware may be powered by the USB port of the computer. 

The RN-ISP ships with an In-line Power Monitor known as an RN-IPM. The RN-IPM incorporates a current monitor circuit enabling developers to power profile target hardware.  Additionally, the RN-IPM provides a convenient way to disconnect and/or monitor signals on the debug interface with an oscilloscope or multimeter.

  • Contains on-board reset switch to reset application on the target module
  • Contains on-board wake switch to force awake the application from sleep state
