Greetings from Roving Networks!
It's definitely an exciting time for Roving as the embedded wireless market continues to take off. Roving Networks has experienced tremendous growth in both our Bluetooth and Wi-Fi product lines over the last 12 months. Things are moving fast, so I want to make sure we are getting you the latest and greatest information - hence our first newsletter.
The intention of the newsletter is to provide the latest Roving news, our new products, updated technical information, and market trends. In this issue, our technical support manager and body builder, Rohit, describes how to use the new HTTP client mode feature in our Wi-Fi module in the section called "Pumped Up on Wi-Fi". Additionally, Nick Dutton, our technical sales director, discusses our WebScan software that enables real time location tracking. We also discuss extensions to our popular RN-41 and RN-42 Bluetooth modules that can be used with iPod and iPad devices.
We will be at Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose, booth #1741. The show this year is being held at the McEnery Convention Center on May 3-5. Come visit us if you can to discuss our RN-171, an ultra-low power, small form factor Wi-Fi module priced below $20 in qty 1,000. I hope to see you there.
As I mentioned before, Roving is expanding. We've grown the number of employees, increased our number of products, and even opened a new office in Singapore. We've expanded so much that we have outgrown our current quirky, but comfortable office. In June we will be moving across the street to a larger facility.
