Digital ASIC Design Engineer

Job Description:

G2 Microsystems is seeking an energetic and creative digital ASIC design engineer to join their Sydney design group. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for the implementation of digital components of our mixed-mode CMOS SOCs, involving all phases of the ASIC flow, from design, verification, documentation, and physical implementation, to silicon and system validation in the lab. We expect that you will be as comfortable designing and verifying RTL as you are documenting it and in the lab verifying the designs in emulation and silicon.

Required:

• At least 2 years experience designing digital ASICs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure to tight schedules
• A high level of proficiency in Verilog RTL coding
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or similar

Desirable:

• Experience with Cadence RTL tool flow
• SOC integration experience, including analog, DSP and embedded processor functions
• Experience with embedded CPUs, low power design, wireless systems.
• Good understanding of DSP and communications systems components such as FFT, Viterbi decoder, Feed Forward and DFE Equalizers, or OFDM receivers.
