Geoff has 32 years of experience in the semiconductor and software industries. He is a co-founder of G2 Microsystems with roles as V.P Engineering and now CEO of the company. Previous successes include Radiata Inc., a wireless startup creating silicon designs for the IEEE 802.11a wireless LAN market. Radiata was first to market with working silicon for the emerging IEEE 802.11a standard and was bought by Cisco Systems Inc. in 2001 for $US 290M. Prior to Radiata Geoff ran a software consulting company and an Internet services company. Geoff's deep technical expertise combined with his keen business sense will drive G2 to success in its chosen market areas.
Andrew has over 15 years of RF and analog design experience. Andrew was also at Radiata Communications, joining them as a principal RF engineer where he led early work on highly integrated CMOS radio ICs for the IEEE 802.11a wireless LAN market. After the acquisition by Cisco Systems, Andrew continued to lead the development of CMOS radio ICs for Cisco's leading enterprise-class IEEE 802.11 access points. Prior to Radiata, Andrew developed Gallium Arsenide ICs, satellite receivers and early wireless-LAN systems at OTC and then CSIRO in Sydney, Australia. He also spent a few years with Standard Communications in Sydney designing radio data communications systems. Andrew has an undergraduate degree from the University of Sydney and a PhD from the University of Leeds (UK), both in RF electronics. Andrew has 13 granted or submitted patents in radio systems and RFIC techniques.
