Embedded Wi-Fi

More than 294 million CE devices with Wi-Fi shipped in 2007 and projections from In-Stat and the Wi-Fi Alliance suggest that growth will continue at a CAGR of 26%, resulting in shipments of nearly 1 billion Wi-Fi enabled CE devices in 2012. Requirements for connectivity have extended to media players, gaming platforms, digital cameras, remote controls, headsets, and computer peripherals.

With a limited power budget and small form factor, these devices benefit from the low power and high integration of the G2 technology.  G2 Wi-Fi SoCs have been designed from inception to maximize battery life and achieve ultra low-power consumption with a combination of proprietary technologies.
